A quiet autumn shoreline comes alive in Where Autumn Holds the Light, an original landscape painting inspired by the fleeting glow of light filtering through fall trees and reflecting across still water.
Deep blues and shadowed earth tones create a rich, atmospheric setting while layers of amber, gold, rust and soft white bokeh illuminate the trees and water. In the foreground, individually painted grasses emerge from the darkness, catching touches of warm light and drawing the eye toward the glowing reflections beyond.
The painting moves between softness and detail—the distant landscape remains dreamlike while textured grasses, layered circles of light and luminous reflections reveal themselves more closely. The darker palette allows the illuminated areas to become the focus, capturing that brief moment when an autumn landscape seems to glow from within.
Painted as an original work by EMcB Artwork, this piece is part of my exploration of quiet landscapes, atmospheric light and the beauty found in moments that feel suspended in time.

The memory of a dream
My paintings are informed by the places I've been to or the memory of a dream I've had in the past.
I love painting the sky or seascape but I leave it up to pure imagination and inspiration to take me to where it leads me.
